Bands and DJs come together for an unidentified frenzy and euphoria

With Gezan, Mahito The People, Yellowuhuru at the helm, Body Odd makes its returns to Contact for another night where a variety of scenes and people involved intersects with distinctive creativity, an irresistible, high-octane lineup offering a frenzy of excitement.

The Studio X floor will feature alternative bands who explore outer fringes of music: Gezan, who teamed up with Steve Albini for their latest album; the hatch, a Sapporo-based group whose released their debuted album for Gezan’s Jusan-gatsu imprint; OOIOO, led by Boredoms’ Yoshimi; andBlacksmokers, a five-piece dope project by K-Bomb, Jube, Baba, DJ Yazi and Chi3Che.

Behind the decks of the Contact floor will be Up-and-coming DJs. Yosuke Yukimatsu explores an untrodden corner of DJing with his unpredictable selections. Mars89, whose tracks have been featured for Undercover’s 19-20 AW collection, and Suimin operate in tandem on their Good Prophets project. Mari Sakurai takes the floor into euphoric psychedelia just like she did at her Boiler Room debut. Stepping up from the Flattop night with their determined artistic vision and creativity are Yellowuhuru and Riku.
Visuals will be installed by Yoshirotten, and Naoyuki Uchida will be taking over the console with his notorious mixing and dubwise technique. With these thrilling names on the bill, Body Odd will be entering an unknown zone.
