哀愁を優雅に引き立てるInnervisionsサウンド
Dixon、Âme、Henrik Schwarzと並んで〈Innervisions〉のオフィシャル・アーティストとして活動するMarcus WorgullがContactに初登場！
ドイツの老舗レコード店/レーベルの〈Groove Attack〉を切り盛りしていた経歴を持つMarcus Worgullは、Jazzanova、Karma、Kabukiといったアーティストのリミックスを数多く手がけてきたほか、Motor City Drum Ensembleとして知られるDanilo PlessowとVermont名義を展開するなど、輝かしい経歴をつうじて着実にファンを増やしてきた。DixonとÂmeによって2005年に始動した〈Innervisions〉からも着々とソロ作品を発表。2018年に発表した「Broad Horizons」では、ダブやレゲエのエッセンスを注入した内容で、〈Innervisions〉の新路線を開拓してみせた。
作品に通じるタイトなグルーヴを軸にして、モダンに解釈したディスコサウンドやトリッピーなハウストラックを繋ぎ合わせるMarcus WorgullのDJセットは、高揚と儚さが入り混じり、抜群のタイミングで投入する歌モノがオーディエンスを切なくも美しい一体感で包み込む。近年、年間50本近い出演数を獲得するほど多忙なスケジュールのなか実現した今回のチャンスをぜひとも見逃さないでほしい。

Contact welcomes Marcus Worgull, one of the Innervisions staples alongside Dixon, Âme, and Henrik Schwarz.
An ex-owner of the Groove Attack record store and label, Worgull has carved out his distinguished career that has consistently garnered avid fans by remixing tracks by the likes of Jazzanova, Karma and Kabuki as well as teaming up with Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble for the Vermont project. His solo productions have appeared regularly on Innervisions since its launch in 2005. His 2018 single Broad Horizons represented the label’s foray into the dub and reggae spectrum.
Centred around effectively lean grooves akin to his productions, Worgull’s DJ sets combine his modern take on disco and trippy house, rightly amplified with sporadic nostalgic songs that give the dance floor an elegance of longing for the very moment.
