東京発インディペンデント・レーベル〈TOTEM TRAXX〉のアンテームド・テクノパーティ
国内のDJ、気鋭のプロデューサーを中心に、アフロ・エスニックな気を持つサイケデリックとプログレッシブ・テクノミュージックの融合を表現する。
今回のテーマは、“War Cry Dance 鬨 とき の声”。MEiYOU初登場となるMamazuは、レーベル〈Hole and Holland〉主宰、楽曲制作やリリースも積極的に行い、Nicola CruzやAndrew Weatherallとも共鳴し、Fuji Rock FestivalやBoiler Roomにも出演。主催のDo Shock Boozeと同様にJ.A.K.A.M. a.k.a MoochyやZEN RYDAZ等のリミックスも手掛けているヤバい男だ。定期的に出演を重ねているDJ DAISUKI (大好き) Daijiroは、プログレッシブサウンドを基本にテクノ/ハウス/サイケデリックを織り交ぜ、フロアを異空間へと昇華させるストーリー性の高いプレイスタイルを持つDigital Blockのレジデントでもある。なんて豪華なクレジットなんだというほどあらゆるオーガナイズに携わる国内のレイヴカルチャーの雄、KOJIROのプログレかつディープなプレイもMEiYOUに欠かせないサウンドだ。夜な夜な盛り場を流浪に浮浪にフロウな現場至上主義を貫き通すKaringa、ミスターハイブリッドDJ Hizatのリズムマシンを駆使したDJプレイ、MEiYOUのメンバーであり、東京で活躍するスケートクルー、 KP TOKYOのフィクサー、TARZANも見逃せないだろう。
出店ブースは、全国各地で精力的に活動を行う明るくふざけた料理研究家Chiicoによるサイババキッチンあべんべが、“匂いを漂わせない”なんていう難しいフードを担当。平日のMEiYOUとしては令和元年最後の開催となるこの日、Contactフロアのみにフォーカスする。“MEiYOU”とは自分の限界を越えることを可能にする自由なパワーであり、この宇宙システムの根幹の“盟友”である。
MEiYOU, untamed techno by Tokyo’s independent label 〈TOTEM TRAXX〉
MEiYOU is a party featuring domestic DJs and prouducers that fuses psychedelic and progressive techno with afro-ethnic roots.
This edition’s theme, “War Cry Dance”, features the head honcho of the label Hole and Holland, Mamazu. He has performed at Fuji Rock Festival and Boiler Room to name a few, as well as remix work for MEiYOU’s organizer Do Shock Booze, J.A.K.A.M a.k.a Moochy, and ZEN RYDAZ. Daijiro, resident DJ for Digital Block, is deeply rooted in the progressive scene incorporating techno/house/psychedelic sounds. Another important figure in the rave culture scene, KOJIRO, will also be taking the decks along with Karinga, hybrid DJ set by Hizat using a rhythm machine, and MEiYOU’s member and KP TOKYO skate crew TARZAN. Chiico, Sai Baba Kitchen Abenbe, will be setting up a food stand with some comfort food for the guests.
MEiYOU is a natural POWER capable of dancing with the music beyond the boundaries of yourself, that is to say, an ally is a power which allows one to transcend the realm of ordinary reality.
