Smoke Machine Label Launch Party

台湾エレクトロニックミュージックシーンの中核を成すSmoke Machineがレーベルを始動

2010年以前、台湾には注目されるようなテクノイベント、そういった音楽環境を取り巻くレーベルやコレクティブといった存在はほぼ皆無であったと言っていいだろう。そのような環境下で、Smoke Machineは良質なポッドキャストを数多く配信し、今では日本、そして全世界に多くのリスナーを抱えるまでになった。また台北のトップクラブKornerでのレギュラーイベントでは幾多のトップアーティストを招聘し、彼らがオーガナイズするフェスティバル、Organikは2017年4月度のResident Advisor Top 10 Festivalsの1位に選出された。近年ではよりアヴァンギャルドな内容のフェスティバル、Spectrum Formosusの開催などまさに飛ぶ鳥を落とす勢いだ。そんな中、この度の招聘アーティストが名を連ねるレーベル初となるEPのリリースを記念したイベントを、Contactにて開催する運びとなった。
Contactフロアにも、AgonisのレーベルメイトGarçon、Organikの常連であるChris SSGら、彼らと親交の深い面々も揃い、コンセプチュアルであり、多彩な音楽感を楽しんでもらえる夜となることだろう。

Smoke Machine, the core to Taiwan’s electronic music scene, launches their label

It is safe to say that up until 2010 there weren’t many techno events, labels, and collectives that were causing a stir. Smoke Machine rapidly gained recognition on a wide scale through their quality podcasts. Hosting regular events headlining top class artists at Taipei’s club Korner. Their festival Organik ranked in at #1 on Resident Advisor’s Top 10 April Festivals in 2017. In recent years, Smoke Machine has embarked on a new journey with a new avant-garde based festival Spectrum Formosus. This evening will mark the label’s first EP release featuring the headliners.
In the Contact floor, Agonis’s label-mate Garçon, Chris SSG who is a regular at Organik, along with others will be bringing you a conceptual evening fit for the occasion.
