Blast off! Strap yourself in for a journey you’ll never forget!
On this day in 1965, the first American astronaut Edward White stepped out of his spacecraft, only tethered by a cable, pioneered what we now commonly know as a “Spacewalk”. Jeff Mills – a true techno pioneer who has navigated us through the imaginary space journey over past decades pays tribute to this momentous day, 51 years ago in space science in the form of a conceptual DJ set. Known for his deep interest in Space travel and science fiction, this will be another opportunity to experience his ever-expanding imagination and what makes his music so important to the Techno genre. Another guest of the night, Berlin’s Henning Baer, head of the city’s new exciting techno operation Grounded Theory collective will help us navigate on this journey. Japan’s Hiroshi Watanabe, who recently reminded us of his mastery with his Transmat release will also steer and control the second room.
A spacewalk in sound, this night is sure to be an experience to remember.
