ダンスフロアミュージックの象徴としてトップに君臨し続けるDavid MoralesがContactへ帰還！ クラブカルチャー黎明期からハウスの魅力を世界に広め続けているニューヨークの雄が新春の夜を華麗に彩る。メインストリームのトップミュージシャンのリミックスを手掛けながらも、ルーツであるアンダーグラウンドなシーンと積極的にかかわりながら、数々の伝説を生み出してきたDavid Morales。Paradise GarageやClub ZanzibarでのDJを経て、ニューヨークのダンスミュージックに欠かせない存在へと成長を果たし、〈Def Mix Productions〉を設立後はFrankie Knucklesをはじめとする錚々たるアーティストの音楽を世に送り出してきた。

Dance music icons don’t come bigger than David Morales. The New York mainstay has been an ambassador for house music since the beginning, taking the genre into the mainstream via high profile remixes of premier league artists while remaining committed to the underground roots of the culture. From early experiences DJing at the Paradise Garage and Club Zanzibar he quickly established himself as a lynchpin of the New York dance music industry, founding Def Mix Productions to manage the careers of artists like the late Frankie Knuckles and all the while establishing his production career.
As well as working in the upper echelons of the music industry with artists like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Donna Summer and more, he’s equally channeled his energy towards dedicated dance legends like DJ Pierre, Ultra Nate and Roisin Murphy. With Grammy awards to his name and more career highpoints than most artists could ever dream of, Morales is a true superstar DJ. Who better to take the Studio X floor on a journey all night long, as he returns to Japan for his first extended session in the country in quite some time.
