New York meets Tokyo in a celebration of leftfield electronic music and fashion.

LQQK Studio began life as a screen-printing studio in Brooklyn before branching out into its own fashion label, bringing distinctive, eye-catching products to the worlds of fashion, music production and DJing. To herald their arrival in Japan, they’ve teamed up with fellow New Yorkers BANK Records NYC and Tokyo’s Big Love to host a night at Contact that spans a range of genres and moods.

The Studio X Floor will play host to BANK boss Entro Senestre, whose excursions into lo-fi and experimental techno have previously found a home on such esteemed labels as L.I.E.S., Dekmantel and W.T. Records. He’ll be joined by kindred spirits Cienfuegos and Via App, both signed to BANK and well versed in the art of tough, textured, techno variations.

Big Love will be represented on the Contact floor. The Tokyo-based shop and label has a broad reach within independent music from the US, UK and EU, releasing music from artists including Ariel Pink, Nite Jewel, Stellar Om Source. For this collaborative party at Contact, they’re showcasing rising Japanese producer Sapphire Slows, whose kaleidoscopic take on electronica has found a home on Not Not Fun, 100% Silk and Nous amongst many other labels.

Alongside the music, LQQK will have limited edition LQQK t-shirts and caps available for purchase on this night.
