今回のGH Streamingは、南アフリカの現行ダンスミュージックからトライバル、ワールドミュージック、さらにはテクノ/エクスペリメンタルといったエレクトロニクスとの高い次元の融合を堪能する越境の音楽ジャーニーが繰り広げられる。
mitokonは音楽愛に伴う膨大な知識と南アフリカの文化に密接したその活動で国内では貴重な存在であり、自身が所属する南アフリカ発祥のエレクトロニック・ミュージック、ゴムに特化したクルーTYO GQOMのソウルといっても過言ではない。アフリカン・ダンスミュージック特有のフィジカルかつ奔放な音像を駆使したそのセットはリスナーを仮想のフロアへと巻き込む強烈な求心力を発生させている。
shunhorの音楽科学はもはや途方もない高みへと昇華されており、民族音楽やトライバルビートを多用しながらオルタナティブ・ハウス/エクスペリメンタルで織り込む、高いプロデュース能力に構築されたDJセットは無二のサウンドスケープを投影させている。shunhorは、現在Kaoru Inoue唯一のDJレジデンシーEuphony立ち上げからのメンバーであり、先日8月17日放送された。Kaoru Inoueのオウン・プロジェクトChariChari のニューアルバム「Mystic Revelation of Suburbanity」 のリリースを記念したプログラムでのDommuneへの出演や、Gilles Petersonが運営するWorldWideFMにEuphonyの名でレギュラープログラムの開始など評価を世界的なものへと拡大しつつある。
さらにTYO GQOMクルーからK8による多国籍なマテリアルを散りばめた、レフトフィールド/エクスペリメンタル・セットもこの配信の振り幅を三次元的なものへと増幅させている。

For this GH Streaming we take you on a musical journey that fuses high quality Electronic Music including South Africa’s current Dance Music, Tribal, World Music, and Techno/Experimental.
mitokon is a valuable presence in Japan for her vast knowledge of music and her activities closely related to South African culture. She is the soul of the crew TYO GQOM that specializes in Gqom, an electronic music genre that originated in South Africa. Her set makes full use of the physical and unrestrained sound images distinct to African dance music that generates an intense force that engulfs the listener into the floor.
The music knowledge of shunhor has reached tremendous heights. His sets create a one and only soundscape that’s interwoven with Ethnic Music, Tribal, and Alternative House/Experimental. shunhor has been a resident DJ of Kaoru Inoue’s Euphony, which recently broadcasted on 8/17, since it launched. He has been gaining recognition worldwide for his appearances at Euphony’s regular program on Gilles Peterson’s WorldWideFM, and streaming at Dommune in celebration of the new album「Mystic Revelation of Suburbanity」by Kaoru Inoue’s own project ChariChari.
In addition, hailing from TYO GQOM crew is K8, who’s style focuses on Leftfield/Experimental, scattering bits and pieces of multinational sounds that amplifies into something 3 dimensional.
