セントルイス出身ながら現在はChance The Rapperらシカゴ勢とリンクし、プロデューサーのMonte Bookerと、アーティストJay2、Bari、そしてRavyn Lenaeと共に、”Zero Fatigue”と呼ばれる音楽家集団の一員としても活躍するSmino。昨年発表した1st アルバム『Blkswn』はプロデューサーにSoulectionのMonte BookerとSangoも参加し、Ravyn Lenae、Akenya、Jean Deaux、そしてNonameなどもクレジットされた。この作品は、自身のネオソウルに影響された体験が大きく凝縮された2017年のベスト・アルバムとの声もあがる程のものとなった。今回は同アルバムのプロデューサー、SoulectionのMonte Bookerも率いての貴重な来日公演。他のラッパーと一線を画すビート選びとアクロバティックなフロウを体現せずにはいられない。
