電子音楽の表現者達が生み出す化学反応
日本が世界に誇るミュージッククリエイター/DJが集結するTOKYO DRIVEが4度目の開催を迎える。Studioには、2019年末に13年ぶりとなるフルアルバム「Möbius Strip」をリリースしたKEN ISHII、そしてKAITO名義でも絶え間なく作品を生み出し続けるHIROSHI WATANABEという日本を代表するクリエイターが登場。アムステルダムの〈Atomnation〉から良作を発表してきた、HIROSHI WATANABEとも共鳴するboys be kkoが持ち味全開のライヴで、そしてデトロイトテクノへの熱き魂を灯すTERAがサポートを務める。Contactフロアはアンダーグラウンドで根強い支持を持つ面々がラインナップ。レーベル〈10 Inches of Pleasure〉主宰、〈LIES Records〉などからのダンスフリーク唸らせるリリースで支持されるDJ Nozaki、独自のフリースタイルなDJingで屋内/野外問わずにラブコールを送られ続ける7eが登場。eryとMakiko Yamamotoにより結成されたユニットOoveenがContact初ライヴにてコズミックポップな空間へと誘い、N.O.S.やREMEDYの核となり幅の広い現場でプレイを重ねるk_yamと本年より自主レーベル〈SLIDE MOTION〉を設立させたRECOOが脇を固める。アシッドを軸にしつつもカッティングエッジな音が楽しめる空間を作り上げる。808の日に入り混じるリズムマシンの音に、ダンスミュージックの素晴らしさと多様性を感じられる一晩となるだろう。

Japan’s world-class music creators and DJs gather for the 4th edition of TOKYO DRIVE. In Studio X, KEN ISHII, who released his first full album in 2019「Möbius Strip」for the first time in 13 years, will be headlining with a fellow creator representing Japan known for his KAITO alias and continues to release productions, HIROSHI WATANABE. A live set by boys be kko, who’s sound resonates with HIROSHI WATANABE and has been releasing his own music through Amsterdam-based label〈Atomnation〉, and the Detroit Techno enthusiast TERA will be supporting lineup in the main room. Contact floor, in contrast to the main room, features a lineup comprised of DJs with great support from the underground. DJ Nozaki, founder of the label〈10 Inches of Pleasure〉and highly praised by dance freaks and labels like〈L.I.E.S. Records〉, steps up to the plate. Joining the lineup, 7e, always delivers with her distinct freestyle DJing whether it’s indoors or outdoors, the goth-pop unit Ooveen comprised of very and Makiko Yamamoto makes their Contact debut with a live set. Completing the lineup, we have k_yam from N.O.S. and REMEDY, and label founder of〈SLIDE MOTION〉RECOO. On the night of 808 day, dance music evolving around rhythm machine infused acid sounds and cutting-edge music.
