Immersive explorations on the fringes of house and techno.

Over many years Fumiya Tanaka’s CHAOS events have become a byword for experimentation and individual artistic expression within the structures of house and techno. Tanaka himself is a prime exponent of wild new modes and sound palettes around the root foundations of 4/4 club music, not least through his releases on Perlon and his own Sundance label.
For a music explorer link Tanaka, whose latest Right Moment album for Perlon demonstrates his elegance in euphoria-infusing expressions over the house format, it makes perfect sense to see him welcome an artist as revered as DJ Sprinkles, aka Terre Thaemlitz, whose contributions to club culture are matched by her experimental works and extensive writing on matters of inclusivity and non-binary identity issues through the lens of dance music. Sprinkles is peerless in her artistic stamp, equally elegant and refined while also utterly moving and passionate. Tanaka and Sprinkles will also be joined by Mikio Kaminakamura, part of Tanaka’s Sundance alumni since last year’s stunning Midmorning EP.
The Contact floor will play host to Berlin-based Japanese DJ Yone-ko, a resident at Club der Visionaere in Berlin and Closer in Kiev, alongside other domestic acts: DJ Shibata, a veteran that’s garnered formidable reputations amongst club-goers in Tokyo; Takashi Himeoka, known for recent releases on Phreak Records, Saga and more; and Albino Sound, whose live performances explore adventurous broken beats with steely textures.
