The psychedelic journey master brings a trip-inducing set to celebrate the beginning of 2019

Russia’s superstar DJ Nina Kraviz makes her way to Contact to celebrate the new year.

Nina Kraviz has now established her name as a bona fide musical talent in club music, currying out focused label operations for her own трип and Galaxiid imprints as well as blending a overwhelming variety of musical styles into an creative entity for the popular mix series like Fabric and DJ-Kicks. Her approach to music is always bold and defiant, challenging hostile authorities and environments in favour of her own artistic statement: She’s raved on the Great Wall of China, livestreamed on Facebook.
Kraviz’s sets are equally daring. Unlike many DJs who slickly match tempos of two clinical beats, she cuts loose with ghetto house, old-school hardcore, trance and acid, weaving them all into a sold dynamic groove. It comes down to her carefree yet artistically-integrated manner in which she indulges in the trippy pleasure of techno that she has learnt firsthand. Kraviz never plans her sets beforehand and she expresses her diffrent self for each show according to the audience and environment.

This night represents her first return to a club in Tokyo since 2016, providing a great chance to experience the leading figure of the global dance music scene in a more intimate setting.
