A true disco don swings by on his Japanese tour

Dimitri From Paris has the spirit of disco pulsing through his veins. Whether it’s classic Philly String soaked sounds, synth’d-up boogie or filter sweeping house bombs, the veteran DJ and producer has been an ambassador for the culture since the mid-‘80s. Over time he’s earned a reputation as a selector of imperious taste, gracing scores of compilations with his razor-sharp curation, from the classic A Night At The Playboy Mansion to The Kings Of Disco compilation with Joey Negro and Night Dubbin’ with The Idjut Boys. Meanwhile as a remixer he’s sprinkled his glittering finesse over such massive tracks as Stardust’s “Music Sounds Better With You” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” You can be sure the Studio X Floor will come to life in a celebration of everything feel-good and funky about dance music culture new and old with Dimitri comes to town on his Japanese tour.

Meanwhile, the Contact floor hosts Captain Vinyl, a project from highly respected Japanese diggers DJ Nori and DJ Muro. It just so happens that Muro and Dimitri collaborated for the iconic Super Disco Friends compilation back in 2005, bringing a sense of synchronicity to this unmissable event.
