Monday満ちると市川愛のライヴで描く芳醇な夕べ
90年代、アシッド・ジャズ/クラブシーンにおいて世界的な貢献を果たしてきた、ニューヨーク在住のシンガーソングライターMonday満ちる。DJ KrushやBasement Jaxxなど、アーティストのソングライティングや、Joe Claussell、Masters At Work、小野リサ等、多くのアーティストとの共演やコラボレーション、ジャズの名門Verveとの契約など、その影響力は今もシーンの中心で強い求心力を放っている。
今回の公演は、Mondo Grosso、SLEEP WALKERの鍵盤奏者として知られる吉澤はじめ、黒田卓也や大西順子との共演といったジャズ・シーンから、電気グルーヴ、MISIAらのツアー参加など縦横無尽の活躍を見せるギタリスト吉田智、Norah Jonesも認める日本のジャズ/ ファンクシーンを支えるベーシスト小泉p克人と、新進気鋭の若手ドラマー上原俊亮といった強力なリズム隊に加え、Monday満ちるとのロンドン公演が大好評を得た箏プレイヤー明日佳とのコラボレーションが実現する。
さらに、SONYからメジャーデビュー後も、HYDRARECORDSからの７インチを定期的にリリース、ジャズシーンのみならずシティポップ、クラブカルチャーでも認知度を高める市川愛が、クインテット編成でのライヴを披露する。表情豊かなシルキーヴォイスに陰影をおとしこむ卓越したヴォーカルは、歌の表情と香りを存分に堪能させてくれる。
日本が世界に誇るダンスクラシック、ソウルミュージックの至宝DJ Noriや、クラブジャズを代表するDJ KAWASAKI、ニューヨークに生まれ、ハウスミュージックを中心に疾走感のある選曲を得意とするLB3など、DJ陣にもトップクラスが名を連ねる。
ジャズやソウル、ブラジルからAORといったアメリカ大陸の音楽の味わいと優位性を提唱してきたHYDRARECORDSによる、甘美な生演奏と至福の選曲が彩る夕べはあまりにも芳醇で奥深い。

A mellow evening with live sessions by Monday Michiru and Ai Ichikawa
The New York based singer-songwriter Monday Michiru has been contributing to the Acid Jazz/Club scene on a global scale since the 90’s. She has worked as a songwriter for artists such as DJ Krush, Basement Jaxx, shared stages and collaborated with Joe Claussell, Masters At Work, Lisa Ono, as well as being signed with Verve and is an influential figure in the scene.
For this occasion, Yoshizawa, the keyboardist for Mondo Grosso and SLEEP WALKER; Tomo Yoshida, guitarist who has shared the stage with Takuya Kuroda and Junko Onishi from the Jazz scene, as well as touring with the likes of Denki Groove and MISIA; bassist Yoshihito “p” Koizumi from the Japanese Jazz/Funk scene who’s been praised by Nora Jones; the young drummer Shunsuke Uehara; ASUKA, who’s performance with Monday Michiru in London was a big success, will be collaborating this evening.
In addition, Ai Ichikawa, who made her major debut on SONY and has since been releasing 7″ from HYDRARECORDS making her way into not only the Jazz scene but City Pop and the club culture, will be performing as a quintet. Enjoy the expressions and scents of the song through outstanding vocals, and different shades expressed through the silky voice.
DJ Nori, Japan’s world-class gem of Dance Classics and Soul music, Club Jazz DJ KAWASAKI, NY born LB3 who is focused on selecting house music with deep groove, the top class DJs add to the lineup.
HYDRARECORDS, advocate of Jazz/Soul and music from Brazil and AOR (Album-Oriented Rock) of America, brings a rich and profound evening decorated with luscious live music and blissful selections of songs by the artists.
