Sound of daytime disco that calls for summer

Modern Disco, advocates of the new generation disco, has brought many up and coming artists, as well as veterans to Japan. Such names include Bondax, Moon Boots, DJ Falcon, Darius, Dimitri From Paris, and Jesse Rose. The guest of honor for this edition is Poolside, making his Japan debut.
In 2010, Poolside’s「Do You Believe?」became a sensational hit via YouTube, and later gained more attention with DJs like James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, techno legend Derrick May, and disco don Todd Terje spinning these tracks. The happy and relaxed mood of Poolside’s disco sounds that incorporates nu disco, soft rock, AOR, crossover, and fusion became known as “daytime disco” which became popular with listeners of indie dance to listeners of rock. Supporting the act in Studio X, okadada, Modern Disco residents YOSA and TAAR step up to represent Tokyo’s new movement.
