ダンスミュージックの理想郷の幻影
DJ Nobuが2022年最初のTrilogiesに登場だ。
毎月3週にわたり開催されるレジデント・シリーズ Trilogiesは昨年10月のスタートから、石野卓球、
DJ Nobuはパンデミック以前、国内の大型フェスのほか、
卓越した音楽科学と強烈なスピリットによって作られるコンテンポ
第2夜の共演は、BOREDOMSの∈Y∋とともに伝説のパーティeepのオーガナイズや、語り継がれるレジェンダリーパーティFLOWER OF LIFEへの出演、大阪のクラブ、聖地MACAOのクロージングパーティのトリを務めるなど、拠点の大阪はもちろん全国のパーティフリークスに、カルト的な人気を博すYAMAの登壇が決まった。Future Terrorを始め、CDリリース時のコメントの提供などDJ Nobuとは度々活動を共にしている。DJ Nobuとともにハウスセットでの共演というまたとない今回の機会は、紛れもなく何かが起こる儀式的なまでの危険で甘美な予感をほのめかしている。そのカルティックなフロアメイクはもう一方のフロアでも徹底されており、Contactに久しぶりの登場となる悪魔の沼や、AKIRAM ENによる、知覚とダンスの活性を誘う深いリスニング・デバイス。AI.UとEMARLE、双方の高い音楽性が深層で交わるDJユニット0120、そして、ビートや展開に対して他とは全く異なるイマジネーションを持つToreiなど、高い次元でのエクレクティックなサウンドの交錯が、アヴァンギャルドな情景を描く。
Trilogies DJ Nobu episode 2はシリーズで最も現実から離れ、ダンスミュージック・ファンの理想に最も近づく可能性を秘めている。
Dance music's illusion of utopia
The first Trilogies of the year 2022 kicks off with DJ Nobu.
Trilogies, a monthly resident series held over 3 consecutive weeks, began in October of last year. Since the launch, we’ve featured one-and-only guests Takkyu Ishino, Licaxxx, GOTH-TRAD, as well as long sets that have far exceeded expectations of the listeners with much satisfaction.
DJ Nobu is one of the most sought after DJs in the world. Prior to the pandemic, he has played all over Europe and countries with an established club scene, not to mention playing at the biggest festivals in Japan. Having been invited to perform for the anniversary of Berghain, Sónar Festival and Dekmantel Festival, he has gained worldwide notoriety headlining for prestigious electronic music festivals. And, this is no surprise If you have experienced DJ Nobu in action. He has created many memorable nights performing with outstanding international artists, including Function for the grand opening of Contact in 2016.
The contemporary and unrealistic space created by vast knowledge in music and intense spirit takes the audience’s imagination far beyond their expectations. DJ Nobu, the modern hero, makes his long-awaited appearance for Trilogies to fulfill the pleasures of techno listeners with his infinite psychedelia.
For the 2nd episode, the Osaka-based YAMA, known for organizing the infamous party “eep” along with ∈Y∋ from BOREDOMS, performing at the legendary party FLOWER OF LIFE, headlining for the closing party of MACAO, who has gained a cult following of party freaks across the nation takes the stage. He has often worked alongside DJ Nobu including Future Terror, and providing comments for his CD release. The House set with DJ Nobu for this occasion, a unique opportunity we may never come across again, hints that something dangerous yet sweet is bound to happen. The cult-like vibe will be carried out in the Contact floor with 悪魔の沼 (AKUMA NO NUMA) and AKIRAM EN acting as deep listening devices to activate your extrasensory perception. AI.U and EMARLE’s DJ unit 0120, where the high musicality of both sides intersect to form a deep structure, and the use of beats and progression by Torei, with an imagination like no other, will be a fusion of eclectic sounds that paint an avant-garde scene.
Trilogies DJ Nobu episode2 will be the most detached from reality out of the series, and the closest to the ideals of dance music fans.
