Death Disco, the crossing point of experts with certain directions meet

Trilogies, the monthly resident series held over 3 consecutive, invites Mars89.
Mars89’s sound has a firm sonic image yet hard to categorize in just plain words.  It’s consistent, ghost-like with intense characteristics that freely straddles the boundary between reality and imagination.  Industrial yet dubby, dark and cold with suspicious sounds, a rebel music with a roar to liberation.
Out of the Trilogies series, Mars89 is without a doubt an artist that displays the highest curation capabilities/space creation.  He has collaborated with UNDERCOVER for their collections, as well as providing music works.  He has contributed music for the documentary film of Keiichi Tanaami, and film director Toshiaki Toyoda’s film『破壊の日』(The Day of Destruction ).  Highly diverse in music/artistic sensibilities,「THE DROOGS」, released from UNDERCOVER for their collection, features remixes by Thom Yorke, Zomby, and Low Jack, as well as being featured in the playlists of Thom Yorke and 〈Warp Records〉.  Not only in music, but also fashion, film, and literature, Mars89 views everything from various angles, constructing imaginative spaces that is obscure yet concrete.

For the 2nd installment of the series, industrial/noise, powerful driving force of hard sounds, and instinctive improvisations cross paths to put Death Disco in motion.  The coldness of metal and the physical flesh coexists to expand the decadent and luscious science fiction.
For this episode, Golpe Mortal, an important figure in Japan’s industrial/wave music scene who has been featured as the supporting act for〈Hospital Productions〉showcase, for artists such as Phase Fatale and Verset Zero, will be performing live with filmmaker VJ wquote.  The dark and cold sounds of DJs and live sets fueled by powerful machines will cross paths with Mars89to display a dystopia of different landscapes.  Krikor Kouchian, currently stationed in Japan at the moment, has continued to reject the existing scene by being deeply involved in the transformation of the rave scene and the club culture in his motherland France.  The French rebel music, that resonates with the music sensibilities of Mars89, brings the unpredictable aspects of sound into his productions.  From afro to modern jazz and even bass music, the alternative rock band the hatch, truly in a class of their own, joins the lineup for this monstrous night that lures you into the world of mysteries and pleasures.  MOTORPOOL’s curator MAYUDEPTH, Contact floor’s acts Akey and Mari Sakurai will be the key guides for this evening to spark your desires to dance with their hard grooves.
Death Disco will appear and disappear at the crossing point where each expert with specific directions cross paths.
