ミニマルな空間を作るSTREET SMARTが週末初開催
Contactの平日イベントの中でも記録的な集客と高いクオリティを誇るSTREET SMARTが週末全館初開催となる。
STREET SMARTは、2016年よりMachikoが中心となり渋谷DJ BAR KOARAから始まったミニマルなサウンドをフォーマットとしたパーティ。これまで国内のアーティストを多数迎え開催してきた。
週末全館開催の今回、ゲストには日本を代表する電子音楽家・AOKI takamasaを迎える。ライヴやDJ/楽曲制作を中心に国際的な活動を続け、現在は出身地である大阪に拠点を置く。直近では2019年5月に、ルーマニアの新レーベル〈VHS Rec〉より6年ぶりの新作をヴァイナルでリリース。現在も国内外問わず精力的に活動中。更に、1995年生まれ京都出身のToshikiを招聘。2016年よりWest HarlemにてSensationを主催し、多方面よりゲストを招き地元を盛り上げている。その類稀なるセンスとテクニックには定評があり、京都を飛び出してのプレイも増えている要注目DJの1人である。
また、菅原一樹と山崎圭亮の作曲家2名からなる変幻自在型音楽＆ライヴユニットRefresh Resortがメインフロアへ初登場。作曲家の視点でDJとは異なるアプローチでのライヴは必見である。加えて、STREET SMARTのレジデントとなってから初のericaのプレイも楽しみにしていてほしい。
Contactフロアへは、ゲストに都内を中心にクラブフリークから絶大な信頼を得ているDJ Shibata、ダンス＆ヴォーカルグループPRIZMAXのパフォーマーとしてステージに立つTsubasa Shimadaが登場する。共に、Sakai、Sakura Tsuruta、Negative Cloud (EUREKA & Pico) と、各所で活躍をみせているアーティストが集結。
STREET SMARTでしか味わえないエクスクルーシブな空間、知的なグルーヴとリズムで踊らせ続ける一夜を体感して欲しい。
Creators of minimal sound space, Street Smart, hosts their first weekend
Street Smart, a quality regular weeknight party at Contact, opens all floors for the first time on a weekend.
Street Smart began in 2016 by Michiko hosting parties in Shibuya’s DJ BAR KOARA focusing on minimal sounds featuring various local artists.
For this edition, AOKI takamasa, one of Japan’s top electronic music producers/composers, also known for his eclectic live/DJ sets who has released a vinyl for the first time in 6 years from Romania’s new label VHS Rec in May of 2019 will be headlining in the main room. Hailing from Kyoto, born in 1995, Toshiki has been active in the local scene since 2016 with his party Sensation at West Harlem takes the decks with his exceptional sense and technique for Tokyo’s crowd. The live project of Kazuki Sugawara and Keisuke Yamazaki, Refresh Resort, takes on a unique approach from the view of two composers. The live set by the duo makes their first appearance in the main room. Also joining the lineup in the main room for the first time is the new resident of Street Smart, erica.
In the Contact Floor, the trusted DJ Shibata praised by Tokyo’s club freaks leads the pack of sound navigators including Tubasa Shimada from the dance & vocal group PRIZMAX, Sakai, Sakura Tsuruta, Negative Cloud (EUREKA & Pico).
